Privacy Policy

1. What we collect

MyEleven is a free football lineup builder. We collect minimal data to keep the service running:

• Lineup data — When you share a lineup, the formation, players, bench, and squad are stored in our database so the shared link works. No account or login is required.
• Draft data — Your current work-in-progress lineup is saved in your browser’s localStorage. It never leaves your device unless you choose to share.
• Analytics — We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to understand page views and feature usage (e.g. lineup sharing, quiz starts). We also use Vercel Speed Insights for performance metrics. These collect anonymized, aggregated data (no personal identifiers).
• Error tracking — We use Sentry to detect and fix bugs. Error reports may include browser type, OS, and the page URL. No personally identifiable information is intentionally collected.

2. Cookies and local storage

We use the following browser storage mechanisms:

• localStorage — Stores your draft lineup, theme preference (dark/light), and cookie consent choice. This data stays on your device.
• Cookies (third-party) — Google Analytics may set cookies for usage statistics. We load GA only after you accept cookies via our consent banner. Vercel Speed Insights may collect anonymized performance data.

You can manage or delete cookies and localStorage through your browser settings at any time.

3. Third-party services

We rely on the following third-party services. Each has its own privacy policy:

• Google Analytics (GA4) — We use GA4 for anonymized usage statistics (page views, feature usage such as lineup sharing and quiz play). Data collected may include pages visited, device type, and approximate location at country level (per Google’s defaults). We load GA only after you accept cookies. • Vercel Speed Insights — Anonymized performance data. See Vercel Speed Insights.
• Sentry — Error monitoring. See Sentry’s Privacy Policy.
• Supabase — Database hosting for shared lineups. See Supabase’s Privacy Policy.

4. Your rights (GDPR / CCPA)

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your data:

• Access — Request a copy of any data we hold about you.
• Deletion — Request deletion of your shared lineups or any associated data.
• Opt-out — Decline cookies via the consent banner. Clear localStorage to remove local data.
• Rectification — Request correction of inaccurate data.

5. Data retention

Shared lineups are stored indefinitely unless you request deletion. Analytics and error-tracking data are retained according to each service provider’s retention policies (typically 30–90 days).

6. Children’s privacy

MyEleven is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it.

7. Changes to this policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated “Last updated” date. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
